0This Halloween, something tasty this way comes
This year something tasty is coming to town. It is not just a night for ghouls, witches, and vampires, but also a night for people who could use a little help where it counts.
Trick or Eat is coming to the community of Etobicoke. The event is similar to trick or treating only there is no candy involved, but what are involved are donations.
This event happening Halloween night gives students the opportunity to go out in the community and make a difference. Volunteers will go door-to-door in teams to collect canned goods and non-perishable food items.
GH Gives, a program run at the University of Guelph-Humber, is working with the Canadian charity Meal Exchange, a national youth-run organization, to bring this event to Etobicoke.
In the spirit of Halloween students are encouraged to dress up as they go door to door asking for donations.
All Guelph-Humber students must register individually, but if you want to go with your friends make a group name before you register.
The night kicks off at 5:30 p.m. in GH 117 where students will meet up with their groups and find out the winners of the costume contest. Buses will take students out into the community and bring them back no later then 8 p.m.
So get your best costume and come out and feel like a kid again to support the cause.
Registration for this event is now open on the Trick or Eat website, or follow this link to be directed to the registration page, http://my.e2rm.com/TeamPage.aspx?teamID=477287.
